If there is vacuum, then verify that one VSV on the fender is sending vacuum to the front diff.

Its on the pass side of the pumpkin, on the extension housing.

CARspec had the opportunity to diagnose and repair a 2007 4Runner recently that wouldn't engage 4WD high or low - the shift indicator would only blink and the car remained rear-wheel/2WD.

I guess if the front wheel drive is turning all the time why do they have a front differntial actualtor on it, I understood and read somewhere ( I wish I could find it)it that you hit the button, to 4Hi and the main relay module gives a signal to transfer case actuator to shift the tranfer case into gear, once that shifts completely it hits the transfer switch that sends a signal to the front.

The vacuum lines are both good and all the ADD wires are hooked up correctly.

Orange light on the dashboard.

From what the dealership told its taking awhile to get the part because its a new vehicle all the parts are still at the assembly line.

If I shut it off and switch then start it up the 4 wheel engages and will disengage just fine.
